Its been a tick since we saw the oh-so-snazzy RoverPC G5, and we must say, the RoverPC P6 cranks up the sexy by a few orders of magnitude. The Windows Mobile 6-based handset, which is sure to make those not in Russian mighty envious, sports a 300MHz Samsung 2442B processor, a 2.4-inch 320 x 240 resolution touchscreen, 64MB of RAM, 128MB of Flash ROM, a microSD expansion slot, Bluetooth, miniUSB, a 2-megapixel camera and a built-in media player to boot. Additionally, the phone checks in at just 15.1-millimeters thick, rocks a dark gray motif and touts tri-band GSM connectivity. So go on, pick one up for around 7990 rubles ($323) — just don’t rub it in when you do, alright?

Well, Mr. Armani, sir, we’ve got to hand it to you — you know how to make a phone, and a darned good one at that. Of course, our tongues are firmly planted in our cheeks here; we know full well that Giorgio Armani and crew did little more than slap its name on one of Samsung’s more upscale fashion phones in an emergency countermeasure to LG’s KE850 Prada, but regardless of the circumstances, the P520 Armani is a gorgeous, well-constructed, well-thought out phone of the highest order. Let’s put it this way, then, Giorgio: you picked the right Samsung to grace with your legendary marque.

We still dont have an official announcement from Motorola about this phone’s existence — much less a confirmation on pricing or availability ’round here — but the bizarre ROKR E8 candybar has gotten just a little more real now that most of its FCC documentation has come off confidentiality. There’s not a lot here that we didn’t already know, but we’re pleased to see the test reports make mention of both GSM 850 and 1900 (and decidedly less pleased to see an utter lack of 3G). We’d be lying if we didn’t say we were pretty amped to get one of these in our hands, and with quadband EDGE on board, there’s at least a fleeting chance that Motorola’s US direct retail channel or a North American GSM carrier will launch it. Hey, we can dream, right?
