Samsung unleashed its new behemoth of a phone in the form of SGH-i600 smartphone. Since the FCC approval, it has created a lot of buzz in the market and also holds the tag as the mother of all smartphones, Samsung is all set to roll out this shiny black beauty sometime this Christmas.

Sporting dual cameras, one at the front for video conferencing and the other at the back, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, the phone features tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900, EDGE, HSDPA, 802.11b/g WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity. Also noticeable is Microsoft’s Push Mail function.

The BlackBerry 8703e enhances productivity, extends the workplace, and provides Sprint customers flexibility for managing life on the go.

Mobile Metrics announced the immediate availability of the world’s first commercial test system for WiMAX ASN Gateways and CSNs, the Torrent 7100 WTS (WiMAX Test System). The Torrent 7100 features traffic and conformance testing capability for the ASN (Access Service Network) Gateway and the CSN (Connectivity Service Network). The new system is expected to help accelerate development of central nodes in the WiMAX network and thus help accelerate WIMAX rollouts.

“We’re very pleased to make this announcement today,” said Asa Atallah, CEO of Mobile Metrics, Inc. “It’s not that often that you get the chance to be first in the marketplace with a new product, and we feel fortunate to have been able to do that with the 7100.”

Further strengthening its portfolio of 3G devices, Nokia today unveiled the new Nokia 6288, a 3G slide phone that adds high-quality video playing capabilities to its mix of features. With real-time video sharing and video ringtones, the Nokia 6288 is designed to take full advantage of the benefits of 3G technology. The Nokia 6288 is expected to begin shipping in the third quarter of 2006 with an estimated retail price of 325 EUR before subsidies or taxes.

The compact slide phone device is bundled with a 512 MB memory card making it ideal for watching favorite video clips on its bright QVGA, 262,144 color display (320×240 pixels). Outfitted with a 2-megapixel and a VGA camera, the Nokia 6288 makes it easy to share videos and participate in two-way video calls.
