Blackberry 7130v coming to the UK and US in July?

Even though Cingular has already brought us the Blackberry 7130c, we’ve still been itching to get our hands on the other versions, including the slick new 7130v, ever since we caught the FCC pictures of them a few weeks ago. Thankfully, it looks our wait might finally be coming to an end. The same forum that has been surprisingly accurate when it comes to blowing up RIM’s spot in the past is reporting that the “enterprise friendly” devices will be hitting the UK on T-Mobile and Vodaphone in July, with the T-Mobile US version hitting around the same time. We think waiting another month for our fix of EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0 and the ever-addictive SureType is far too long. Our Treo, on the other hand, is keeping its fingers crossed for an indefinite delay.

Moto follows up D&G V3i with… D&G V3i

Did you scuff your Dolce & Gabbana RAZR? Just getting tired of the color scheme? Not to worry — Moto has teamed up with the designer once again to outfit a handful of fashionistas with “a new version of the device in luxurious gold and silver.” Further distinguishing it from the garden variety V3i, D&G is throwing in a snazzy pendant to show your loyalty to the brand, along with a handful of exclusive backgrounds, ringtones, and the like. Do what you will, D&G, but it still looks like a V3i to us, so unless you’re charging a $40 premium over the base model — and we know you aren’t — we’ll stick with dark gray.

Eight-year-old text queen has repetitive strain injury

In a possible sign that the end-times are near, grade school students in the UK are said to be developing repetitive stress injuries from incessant texting. Gradeschooler Isabelle Taylor, who seems more fit for a textless Migo than the old-school Nokia she’s toting, was diagnosed with tendiopathy after complaining of pain in her wrists and fingers. Sadly, little Isabelle took a cue from her hopelessly addicted BlackBerry-wielding elders: “I’m not going to stop. Me and all my friends talk to each other with texts, so I can’t not text them.” Her chiropractor says he sees “two cases a month” like Isabelle’s, and stories of SMS RSI are nothing new — but by golly, eight years old?
